Propolis is a sticky substance, produced by bees, resulting from the collection of resinous secretions from the plant bark, and is enriched by the bees themselves with wax, pollen, enzymes and other substances. Propolis is used by bees to seal and disinfect the inside of the hive and is harvested by beekeepers with special screens.
